Enlightening, educational and social-cultural center

Excursion in the hall of AutomaticsOne of the main tasks of the Polytechnical Museum, that have yet been raised by its founders  is  to  be  not  only a  depository  of engineering sciences,  but  public  educational institution.

~Day of Knowledge~ ActionWorking collections are the peculiar base for the educational and enlightening activity, promoting technical learning among as many people as possible.

Annually the excursion and lecture syllabuses of the Polytechnical Museum are visited by 150 thousand people, out of total number of visitors. Demonstration of interactive show ~Color shadow~

So, primary school pupils are shown to the subject studies and excursions: «Museum and children», «Talks on ecology», «Fairy tour round the halls of the Polytechnical», «Wish to know all»; special excursions onnatural history, mathematics, Moscow history and general history. ~Museum and children~ pastime program

Senior pupils can visit the excursions, lectures - demonstrations and the studies on 120 topics, that would help them to learn profoundly the school curriculum subjects.

Some 46 topics, intended for the students of Higher Schools, make it possible to get acquainted closer with a specialty and/or future profession, chosen by them. Interactive study in the laboratory ~Games store~Furthermore, the Polytechnical Museum car­ries out some other  programs, introducing the present achievements of natural sciences and humanities.

Being also a social-cultural and leisure center, the Polytechnical Museum holds the cognitive

and entertaining programs for school chil­dren: «New Year in the Polytechnical Museum», «Shrovetide», «Day of Knowledge». Very popular «Holidays in the Polytechnical» - a range of projects, each of them includes around ó review programs, entertaining and technical shows. Annually they are visited by over 30 thousand girls and boys.
